When “booked” needed a clearer definition.

The business question sounded simple: how many real estimates had the team booked? The systems held several different answers, depending on which appointment and pipeline stage the report counted.

A problem, a decision and a lesson.

Qualification & bookingCRM + field-service workflowProcess and reporting review
01

The snag

Preliminary calls and on-site estimates were serving different purposes. Contacts could also hold several opportunities. A single “booked” total hid those differences.

02

The work discussed

The review separated appointment types, qualification and opportunity progress. It also examined the CRM-to-field-service link and who should own follow-up.

03

The useful lesson

Define the appointment and denominator before discussing booking rate. Then give the salesperson a next action, not just a pipeline column.

04

What is established

Documented process and reporting work. No measured booking, sales or profit increase is claimed; current feature coverage needs a product walkthrough.
